One has a chance to play, one is a toss-up, but more than likely will be out and the other I'm confident won't play.  In fact, the one who won't play, I'd be surprised if he returned before CAL's game against Ryle, but we'll see.  Kids definitely heal quicker than us old folks.

They certainly do. Some try to come back to quick because they want to play so bad.

  • It’s not complicated and no secret, I hate the Panthers and hope they lose every game in every sport ?  And yes, it goes really deep.

  • It has now been 0 years since they have been clocked. 45-7 CAL.

You’ll find that out Friday ?.  Two of them didn’t play against Franklin County.

CAL by a lot...they may be best team in the state this year.

There is a chance that question may be answered on 9-12 in Union.

CAL probably wins by as much as they want. If this doesn’t become a running clock I’ll be surprised. CAL may be one of the state’s best teams altogether this season.

It’s been 8-9 years since Pikeville has been clocked.

Not even close

THE TWO best teams in the state of KY reside on Shelbyville Rd and Poplar Level Rd in Louisville.

Others have a ways to go to get to those two.

What happened the last time X and Ryle played?

Which side of Shelbyville Rd though; west of the Watterson or east of the Gene Snyder ?

In all seriousness, CAL has potential to be a top 5 team in the state.  On their best day, they could go toe-to-toe with any team in the state, but that doesn’t mean they’re the best team in the state & maybe even not top 5.  Could they play with and possibly beat Trinity & St X?  Yes, they could.  However, they don’t have to worry about that.  All they have to worry about is beating Pikeville right now.

Will the WDRB+ app/news station be broadcasting CAL games this year including this one against Pikeville?

I believe they still are broadcasting both CAL & Trinity home games, but not 100% positive on that.  I haven’t heard anything different.

Just FYI here for you/everyone, I flipped on the WDRB+ app a few minutes ago and Trinity was listed on the top banner for this year.  I did not see CAL.  The only thing I could find was in a sub-menu that shows archived games for both CAL and Trinity.  So as of right now it looks like a no.  Anyone?  And anyone on a CAL broadcast tonight against Pikeville?

Just received confirmation that WDRB is NOT doing CAL home games this year.  Livesportscaster is doing it however.  A link to the live broadcast is below:

Amazing, thank you, and that organization has been great in the past.

Well only one school is on Shelbyville Rd!!!

Granted X got rolled by Ryle last season, but it’s a new one now and I’m looking forward and not backwards!

can't wait for games to begin.

Saw on X that big time recruit Kellan Hall is out tonight for CAL. Big loss for them but still don’t see any way CAL loses this game.

CAL will be without Stone Perkins (Ball St commit) & Kellen Hall (#7 ranked 2028 national prospect) tonight.

  • Author

I knew Stone Perkins wasn’t playing & was cautiously optimistic Kellen Hall would play, but knew he probably wouldn’t.
