I just spent a little time Googling median household incomes around NKY and Union's median household income is above Park Hills, Fort Wright, Fort Mitchell, Edgewood, Crescent Springs, Villa Hills, and Crestview Hills. Plus anybody whose parents are sending them to Ryle aren't having to shell out $10K a year per kid for tuition.

Maybe its time to start a cheer about the quality of math and finances taught in public schools ?

I have a good friend who is a retired teacher. Half his career in a private high school and the other half in a public high school (a county school). I asked him to compare the two. He said you can get just as good an education in a public school as you can in a private school. But it's harder in the public school because of your fellow students.

Which is why I always advocate moving problematic public school students to a different classroom/building where they cannot interfere with the students focusing on achieving greatness. 

I am hearing from friends this game is close to a sell out, do get your tickets if you plan on going.

Just in the interest of not discouraging anyone from attending tomorrow night, I'm not really sure there is such a thing as a "sell out" football game at Cov Cath.

With all the standing-room there is on the north end of the stadium from the back of endzone to the Knochelman and Schott buildings and with the patio outside of the Drees Alumni Center, its hard to imagine a crowd big enough to fill out the stands along with all the standing-room in the stadium. That said, buying presale tickets definitely will get you in the gate faster, and getting there earlier rather than later is gonna get you a seat in the stands. Not all of the standing room in the stadium is gonna offer the best vantage points of the field.

I can also say without question that parking for the game tomorrow is going to be at way more of a premium than normal with the St. Agnes Homecoming also happening tomorrow evening. St. Agnes may well have even reserved the parking lots across the highway at the Bilz and the Dean Dorton (Von Lehman) buildings for their festival, so folks are best to get to Cov Cath early if they want to make sure to get a parking space.

La Salle in 2019 felt like it got pretty close but yeah I agree.

The biggest crowd I can remember at a Colonels football game was on a Saturday in 1993 when Cov Cath hosted Moeller after meeting them for the first time the season prior when they beat Big Moe at their home field.

There were players in the stands from probably 20 or more high school football programs around the tri-state and standing-room fans reached from about the 10 yard line around the back of the endzone to the 10 yard line on the opposite side of the field on both the north and south sides of Wooton.

Hearing the final version of Cov Cath's varsity roster has an unprecedented EIGHT freshmen on it.

This was the beauty of no lights at CovCath.  We could do our Saturday morning film sessions then head over to watch a varsity game.  Yes I am getting old.

In the past when the varsity roster included freshmen, did that mean they were going to contribute or just get some mop up time throughout the season.
