Per his Instagram. Starks is headed to Southeastern Prep Academy. Newport is getting decimated.

Rumor has it that the mass exodus is not done yet. Couple more maybe transferring out. Tough to see.

I've heard Newport is struggling bad with numbers in their school in general. 

Well when you try to overload classrooms and cut a bunch of programs due to financial mismanagement......   

They didn't come to Newport for the education, nor are they leaving because of the lack of.

I could see Amonte Lowe at Campbell County with Austin Davie this upcoming year. Connections there.

I hope to see big things out of Starks in the next few years. He is still a baby giraffe and has a ton of potential.

Wondering if dropping to NKAC DivIII and having to play many smaller schools had any bearing on these decisions.

I doubt this is the case. Coach Snapp said many times he would not be playing in the conference if all of the players had returned. 

I too would say no because the t seemed like each year these kids were on the lookout for the next best thing.  Apparently all have now found it.

Nothing specifically to the athletes leaving.  I agree with you on that.

Wouldn't say doubt this is the case. Snap says this but the school going forward is gonna have to do it. Outside of basketball program last 10 years Newport is on par with all these schools in every aspect of a school. So yes it did play a part because at the end of the day this is who they are. And elite players rarely play at the D3 level.
