Louisville picks up 3 runs in the top of the 6th to cut the Coastal led to 8-3.

Coastal answers back with 2 runs to now led 10-3. So far in the game Coastal has had 5 walks and 4 HBP. Coastal has the NCAA record for so far this season to have 176 HBP. That is unreal!

Coastal Carolina defeats Louisville 11-3 and advance to the Championship Series starting on Saturday vs. either Arkansas or LSU. Louisville finishes their season at 42-25 and Coastal Carolina improves to now 56-11 and have won 26 games in a row. They are a really impressive team to say the least.

Arkansas is leading LSU 3-2 after 7 1/2 innings.

My goodness a crazy ending to the Arkansas and LSU game. In the bottom of the 8th LSU tied it a 3 on a homer. Arkansas scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th to go up 5-3 LSU had runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out and the LSU batter it a taylor made 6-4-3 double play the shortstop instead of turning a possible game ending double play throws it to 3rd and gets the led runner. The next hitter with two outs hits a line shot to left field the Hogs left fielder misplays it and it hits the left fielder in the right shoulder and LSU tie it at 5 and the next hitter hits a line drive off the Hogs 2nd baseman's glove and LSU wins it 6-5. The Tigers will advance to play Coastal Carolina in the best 2 out 3 starting on Saturday at 7:00pm on ESPN. It should be a great championship.

Crazy ending yes, very enjoyable!

What an awesome game. I feel for these young g guys, but you have to take the chance at the game ending double play. At worst you get the runner at 2nd and you’re still up one. The left fielder, took a step back but slipped coming forward, no shame in that. Then the second basemen almost makes a great play which ended the game. If he let's that go does the center fielder have a legit shot at throwing out the runner?

It’s felt like the CWS hierarchy has been Coastal Carolina, LSU, Arkansas, and then the other five.

LSU takes an early 1-0 led after the first inning in game 1 of the best of 3 series for the National Championship. The game is currently on ESPN.

Coastal Carolina had a threat in the top of the 3rd as they had 2 on and no one out but a bad bunt and then a strikeout. The 3rd out was stealing 3rd base and slid past the bag and was then tagged out.

It is still 1-0 LSU after 4 1/2 innings.

Game is still 1-0 LSU after 8 innings. LSU ace Kade Anderson is going for the complete game as he has only allowed 3 hits 9 strikeouts.

LSU takes game 1 of the best of 3 with a complete game 3 hitter by Kade Anderson. Game 2 will be at 2:30pm tomorrow afternoon that game will be on ABC.

First loss for Coastal Carolina in just under two months.  1-0 classic pitcher's duel.  Coastal Carolina gave up a leadoff walk, runner advanced on a groundout, and that was followed by a single.  Enough to get it done for LSU. Coastal Carolina never advanced a runner beyond second.
