Hi, I am helping a friend compile KHSAA baseball tournament district and region tournament history. Checking to see if anyone out there has compiled any of these scores from 1940 to about 2006. I happy to share what my friend and I have compiled to date. Looks like we have just under 2900 results missing. Started at just under 3600, so have made some progress. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I love this! Kudos to you for embarking on this quest. It's a shame so many schools didn't keep accurate or any records at all during the stretch. Would love to see the final product once produced.

I went to the KHSAA archives at the EKU library several years ago and found a lot of brackets.  I can help you go back and find the scores by looking through the newspaper.com arhcives.  I only looked for the Brooksville/Bracken County results.

Bob Mays was a former broadcaster and historian who passed away in 2019, but his site is still up and has been an invaluable resource over the years. Some of the links are broken in there, so you may have some scores you’d still need to track down, but it’s going to narrow a lot down for you. All districts and regions for the time period you mentioned.

Thank you for the info. I feel like there is more at the archive that has been misfiled somehow, but I'm not really sure. I am going out of town this weekend when I get back I can send an updated file to you if you'd like

I have referred to Mr. Mays site many times, helped him with some of the basketball scores he was missing. We became friends around 2015, and met at the state tournament for a couple of years before he got sick. He was a wonderful person.

I don’t know all the scores but I do know the 2004 35th District results. 

First Round:

Ludlow 8 CovCath 5

and

Holy Cross beat Holmes 

Championship:

Ludlow beat Holy Cross in extra innings to win the 35th district title in 2004

I saw one newspaper article from the Courier Journal that referred to Bellevue as winners of the Fifth Region Tournament, and another article from the Cincinnati Enquirer that referred to Bellevue as the winners of the Ninth & Tenth Region Tournament.
