Great effort by Louisville, I think there is a lot of positive coming from this game...they first need to rest, and get their legs under them for Georgetown. Second, Earl Clark played well, so did Terrence. Third, they have to remember to get Padgett involved early, especially if they can get G-Town's big man in trouble. Great game by both teams. I see nothing wrong, other than shooting %, which has been an issue all season.

Agreed and UL is getting better, at seasons end....Be interesting to watch, how much they improve and make a run, in the last few weeks.

I just felt like this COULD have been looked at as a "marquee" road win at seasons end to the Selection Committee. Road wins are going to come VERY tough from here on out.

Yes this was one of those games that make or break you to an extent. Hopefully the Cards can turn it around and beat Georgetown at home.

I thought the game was played well from about the 10 minute mark in the first half on, and if Louisville didn't dig themselves so far down to start the game very well could have won. Still, no one wins them all in this league, and I think Louisville will still be well positioned by the end of the year.

 

Louisville should still have a very good chance at a road win against UConn, 2. But this was our best shot at a road win that would mean something RPI wise, we'd have to steal one against Marquette or Pitt now.

 

The Georgetown game is now very important, in my eyes.

If UL could just start hitting some shots, they play their tails off on the defensive end. Maybe there pressing on O.

As much as I hate watching them lose...and as RP said there is a lot of good to take from this one. They are improving on little things game after game.

I think the lost one today that would have pushed them into to the Tourney. Now if the are left on the bubble the will have to look back at this game as the one that hurt the most.

This is a tough one for Louisville.

Reason being there are not too many opportunities left for them to help their RPI.

Georgetown is an absolute must for them.

Then the other two are in hostile venues at Marquette and Pitt.

 

Heading into Philly, essentially Nova and UL were fighting for berths into the tourney at large wise.

Latest Bracketology had Nova as last four in and UL one of the 5-8 teams out.

Today would have been huge.

Now Nova has the upper hand despite a 4-6 league mark.

As we saw last year, Seton Hall was able to get in over UC because they had beaten UC plus had better non-conference wins.

UL has no non-conference wins to speak of and one loss that may haunt them and that is the lost to Dayton.

Nova has the win over Texas.

 

Think about this, Nova lost to Xavier on a neutral floor. Gulp!

Nova also holds a homecourt loss to Drexel, but Drexel has fallen off.

 

Missed opportunity..

I think the Cards played pretty well today but sometimes their poor shooting is just a little much for them to overcome. GTown should be a great game at home! I'm anxious to see Hibbert/Padgett square up.

From what I watched the Cards played pretty well, but they still have to knock down the shots when they have a open shot...

Only got to see the first half, but man that was hard to watch. 22-20 at the half wasn't it???
