2025 Masters

From start to finish, that was the most topsy-turvy day of golf I’ve ever seen.  And I’ve seen a few.

Rory becomes the first to win the Masters with four double bogeys, as well as the first to record THIRTY threes in a single Masters.   Thirty threes in seventy three holes.  Not to mention the obvious - joining Sarazen, Hogan, Player, Nicklaus and Woods as a career grand slam winner.  They don’t count Bobby Jones for some reason, who won all four majors in 1930 when they were the US and British Opens and Amateurs.

  • One of my most favorite weekends of the year.  I can't wait for tomorrow.

  • I think DeChambeau is done.  Just as I was about to say he needs to be spectacular on the par 5s.

Brilliant shot by Rory on his second at the 15th.

The whole day I thought Rory had it in the bag. That last putt was just something else. I'm not a golf Guy but today was very exciting. I love sports, and the Masters with all the aura and prestige is what makes people like me watch and get excited.

I'll admit, when he lost the lead on the first hole I thought that it was going to be Bryson's day and Rory was just along for the ride.

Then when got the lead right back I thought, ok Rory's got this. When he birdied 10 I thought it was over.

Then that last two hours happened, what a ride. Rory hitting 3 great not good but great iron shots when he absolutely had to was Tigeresque.

I think he's one of the good guys in sports, so glad it was him and not Phil to be the next Grand Slam winner. Hoping Phil never gets the US Open to complete his slam.

Rory slayed his dragons and there were a lot of dragons to slay.

Phil’s first name should be Richard.

Funny you say that, that's what I often call him! ?

Photos of the iconic win taken by Junior.   Wonder if he wore his hat backwards.

"Griffey has been pretty serious about photography for a few years now. In addition to the Masters, Griffey has also taken photographs at college football games, NFL games and Inter Miami soccer games. He also dabbled in wildlife photography."

Former teammate Randy Johnson is also a credentialed photographer. It would be cool if someday they published a book of their combined photos.
