The higher ranked/seeded team.  Or favored by odds.  Basically, the team that you would normally think would win.

All the 1-4 seeds winning was chalk winning. 

Pitino and Calipari about to go at it again. Both coaches are in the hall of fame. Both coaches are the only coaches to have led three different teams to final fours. Calipari currently holds the all time series record against Pitino at 13 to 10. The are 2 and 2 against each other in the NCAA tournament. Calipari is looking to make it past the first weekend for the first time in his last 6 years coaching. While Pitino is looking to make it past the first weekend for the first time in his last 8 years coaching, and has only made it past the first weekend 7 times in his last 21 years coaching college. So this is a big game for both coaches in trying to have tournament success for the first time in years. 

Arkansas leads St. Johns 16-13 with 13:13 left in the first half. Richmond for St. Johns just picked up his 2nd foul.

My goodness so far St. Johns shooting has been terrible. They have missed 9 layups/putbacks so far. They have missed their last 13 shots. The good news they are only down 8.

Johnnies look like charter members of the Bricklayers Union.  

St. Johns is shooting 21.9% and 10% from 3 and are only down 3. The difference is they have 13 offensive rebounds in just over 13 minutes.

That turned around in a hurry. 

The Red Storm has gone on a 10-2 run to tie the game at 24 with 5:40 left in the half.

Some they are still just shooting over 26%. Offensive rebounds and points off turnovers are keeping them in the game especially with their leading scorer Richmond out since just under 14 minutes left in the half and only having 2 points.

St. Johns now leads 28-27 at the under 4 media timeout.

Arkansas was ready for a fight. St. John’s was ready for a brawl. The Johnnies are a bunch of rough-riders, as Stephen A. would say.

Arkansas leads 35-32 at the half. Not a half of pure basketball but more of a New York City playground game. A very physical game by two teams with athletic athletes. Should be a fun 2nd half.
