Final. All A First Round.

Wow, what a game. Congrats to both teams for leaving it out on the floor.

Paintsville improves to 15-6

Elliott Co falls to 14-5

Was mentioned on the broadcast that Elliott has to yet to win a game in Richmond.

Sounded like a great game. Good luck to paintsville the rest of the way!

Tough loss for Elliot. Congrats to Paintsville. Elliot kids you now have to regroup and get ready for the district, 16th regional and possibly a trip to Rupp. Keep your heads up.:thumb:

HC on a side note you boys that represent you avatar have got Duke in an O.T. right now.

I was pulling for Elliot in this one but now I hope that Paintsville takes it. Good Luck Tigers. :thumb:

Well Russell lost to Ironton early in the week and now Elliott Co has lost to Painstville. Does everybody say now that Elliott is now not playing as well as they were before the tough loss to a good team?

I turned the game off cause I take it TOO seriously, was updating their message board and saw they forced overtime. I'm listening to a great high school tournament game between two really good schools. Then I'm following my team and their struggle with Duke. Fun night. lol

No.

Why not? It is the same scenario that bolstered much of the talk about Russell falling from the top spot. Blow out a decent team by 29 then lose a close one to a good team in a hard fought game.

Much different scenario.

Much different scenario.

How so?

It was exactly the same except Russell played a good Ironton team on their home court. The game before they blew out Rowan Co.

Elliott just blew out Greenup Co, (who Rowan had just beaten), then lost a very close game to a good Paintsville team on a neutral court.

How is that much different?

I just don't see it that way.

That is exactly the way it happened. Both have been playing well. Russell had a 7 game win streak snapped by Ironton. Elliott had won 5 in a row before falling to Paintsville.

How do you see it? And if you think a loss AT Ironton is something that reflects poorly, you should go to a game over there sometime.

Big win for Coach Runyon and the hard working boys from Paintsville.

Yes it is. Elliott led after the end of each of the first three quarters. Paintsville comes back and takes the game in the fourth.
