Reyne Smith also sets a new Louisville record with 10 made threes.

They improve to 15-5, 8-1 in the ACC and ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in 4 years.

Good for them and coach! When the Cards aren't playing the Cats, I'm pulling for them. They're fun to watch! And good for you, sticking with them even through the dark days. 

They are on a roll right now! It’s very hard to not be highly optimistic at this point, which was already the case with what they had done before last night. This team is playing very good basketball. Go Cards!

The difference between this year and the past two seasons is so drastic you cannot help but think if the last coach wasn't losing on purpose. I don't think that is the case but it's hard to believe a coach could be that bad in back to back seasons. Anyway congrats so far for the Cards as long as their success doesn't interfere with my team. Kelsay changed the culture immediatly, if he's not up for coach of the year or conference coach of the year, something is wrong. UL has a real good chance to win the conference as well, they played Duke so close earlier in the year.

There are times that I truly question it with what Kenny Payne did was intentional, I won’t lie about that. I think at times he seriously just struggled but the thought comes back to me from time to time, especially with how bad it was both seasons he was here. I also agree about the changes made by Kelsey with the culture, I believe that was noticeable quickly.

I've taken a beating over the years being a Louisville fan, all the way back to grade school. A couple of bad years isn't going to run me off. Especially because I'm going to bask in the glory of Louisville haters' misery as the Cards continue to make their way back.

It would be impossible to watch the Louisville program over the last two seasons and not have at least a thought that Kenny Payne was losing on purpose. It was so bad, it's hard to imagine. Sure the record was abysmal, but even that doesn't tell the story. 

Do I think he was losing on purpose? No, because that would mean the team was in on it. I absolutely think he was purposely complacent and lazy. He got a fat (undeserved) pay day and he soaked up being the boss for two years. He'd been in Cal's shadow for so long, he wanted the spotlight, and boy did he get it. I'm not kidding when I say you could have found someone off the street and gotten better results. I could have coached them better. Hell, Randy Parker could have coached them better. 

The fact that Louisville is paying Kenny Payne more than they are paying Pat Kelsey is egregious. That will likely change after the season, but I'm serious when I say Louisville should sue Kenny Payne.

At least one of them got good talent. 

Hepburn is the best point guard in college basketball, I thought the same when he was at Wisconsin, great player to get in the portal, he is definitely the engine running this team.
