DearToday Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Franklin County The Flyers put together another outstanding season which saw them come up just short against 4A State Champ Paducah Tilghman. Franklin went into the state title game 13-0 with wins over LCA, Scott County, GRC, and Cov Cath. The positives are that Franklin returns a lot of their offensive production. Their QB was only a freshman, they return 3 of their top 4 rushers, and 3 of their top 4 pass catchers. They do lose their top RB and their top WR in Elesius Robinson and Christian Moore. They also lose their all state kicker. They lose a few of their other dominant DL. I'm not as familiar with Franklin so I can't go super in depth with them, so if you know more feel free to chime in. How we feeling about the Flyers in 2025? Can they finally get over the hump and win one? 1
Wildcat1993 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Coach James and his staff do a great job of having guys prepared for when starters go down. Flyers live with next man up mentality and a WE system. Still look for them to be a threat come playoffs just because how well prepared they are. Major factor is Franklin County having the same QB for first time in a while.
FCREMSFC Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Solid core of returners at skill positions as well as linemen. Some holes to fill, but several young players who are ready to step into varsity action. Incoming Freshman class won state titles as 7th and 8th graders, never losing and most wins in a very dominant fashion. Coach James' program is built to last and will be in the mix for several years to come. 2
FromTheStands05 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Eddie James and Mark Peach, two big time winners. The Flyers will be right in the mix of things in 2025. 2
Purple88 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Really looking forward to the FC vs BG game Week 10 this coming year! Great game to get both teams ready for the playoff run! 2
