Coach Troy Thomas head coach of the Lady Vikings will be out for a while with Epididimitus which he has been battling for a while. Word from Rowan County administrators that he is on bed rest because of the severe pain. Coach Thomas can't walk, run, stand, or do any type of extracurricular activities due to his pain that he is having. Coach Thomas had an MRI done today and is taking medication at this time. Our prayers are definitely with Coach Thomas and we hope you make a full recovery and get back on the sidelines coaching your butt off and coaching that defense. Heard that assistant coach, Ronnie Cornett will be the person in charge of taking over the Lady Vikings for the time being. Coach Cornett coached the Lady Vikings against Morgan County about 2 weeks ago earlier while Coach Thomas was out.

I spoke to Coach Thomas earlier this evening and he told me that he would like everyone's prayers to help him through this tough time. He is in a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort. Epididimitus is a bacterial infection and it has taken a turn for the worse in past few days.

I talked with Troy Lee Monday night and he is doing much better. He is on medication right now to fight the infection and said the doctors are very positive about his outcome. We will remain to keep Coach in our prayers!
