This is spot on!  Tired of seeing basketball coaches getting slammed because they don't "win enough" with kids that albeit are athletic, but devote their time and energy to other sports.  Although, there are good things as far as athleticism and "used to winning" basketball is a chemistry/skill set game.  Often times, the basketball teams at these football programs are a slow burn throughout the season.  Boyle Co. won the district last year with everyone pegging DCA as unbeatable...  A wise coach once stated, "It's a marathon not a sprint".

There is more going on than what it appears on the service. A little research and talking to some TRUE Boyle county folks and it won’t take long to figure it out.

You referring to things regarding the football program or you just talking about the basketball program?

I'm about as true as anyone can get to Boyle.  Nothing to see here but wishful thinking.

Nice schedule, should be good prep doff the postseason. 

From outsiders hating on the football program to locals hating on the kids that left. Wow. Inaccurate comments and assessments across the board IMO.

Sorry outsiders. Boyle football will continue to be Boyle football with an elite coaching staff and plenty of talent to carry forward. This won’t affect the desire for kids from other schools wanting to play for Haddix and staff. There’s nothing wrong with the program just because a couple kids decided to leave Boyle. As one poster pointed out, those two kids are basketball first kids, having played that game long before football. No reason to try to make their departure about football.

As it pertains to basketball, I wouldn’t have expected either of those two to play behind anyone on the current Boyle basketball roster. They would be on the floor 90% of the game for this Boyle team and would’ve helped make this team a handful. If I’m wrong, either the Boyle staff’s assessment would’ve been way off (not recognizing the talent), or they’re not that talented and it will prove a bad move for them because they both went to programs/teams with more talent and thus the competition for playing time will be a whole lot stiffer.

Guess time will tell!
