  • I just chatted with a Dixie player.  He is very excited about the game with Woodford Friday and he represented Dixie/Dixie Football well.

  • 7-0 Dixie after a Gregg run

  • Dixie's three wins are Hughes (OH), Boone County, and Scott

Man that had to be hard for Woodford County to take.

I've seen them play this year and they are a very good team.

I'll take Woodford by 3 TDs.

Dixie was hot this time last year, not so much this year, give me Woodford too.

Dixie has the players to beat Woodford. Not sure it will happen though.

Let's get a WIN Dixie!

Taking nothing away from Woodford because I think they have an extremely talented team, but Dixie has played the gauntlet.

Outside of Simon Kenton , Boone, Scott, and Hughes (OH)

Beechwood- 9-1 (#3 in 2A based on RPI)

Cov Cath- 8-2 (#7 in 4A based on RPI)

Highlands- 8-2 (#7 in 5A based on RPI)

Conner- 7-3 (#9 in 5A based on RPI)

Cooper- 10-0 (#1 in 5A based on RPI)

Ryle- 8-2 (#2 in 6A based on RPI)

NKY is not for the weak this year.. I could completely understand and believe that DH is coming into this contest with confidence and battle tested.  Any of those teams could very well be title contenders in their perspective classes.

Speed kills and these jackets are loaded with talent! I’m taking Woodford in overtime! I cannot wait to see how this one plays out!

Their losses are all really good teams so they have to think they can compete with Woodford County. However, the defense just isn't very good and having upset the Jackets in the playoff last year, they've likely lost any element of surprise.

Wertzler's development as a passer has elevated Wofo leaps and bounds relative to where they were at this time a year ago. He's got a dizzying array of receivers, including Makhi Smith, who Dixie didn't see last season.

I think Wertzler keeps the Jackets ahead from the get-go and clear of a capable Dixie offense.

Dixie has the ball on the WC 25.  I think Dixie had it and punted and then WC fumbled but I am not sure.

Anyone?

Woodford stopped Dixie on downs on the 11.

WC ball.
