January 29, 200719 yr Where have I been celebrating? YOU are the one who said it'd take a miracle to win WITHOUT Lofton playing... I guess that proves your sports knowledge.:thumb: Still have half of the season left. Don't worry ill point out everything to you that you forget. :thumb:

January 29, 200719 yr I can guarantee you won't find me being as wrong as you were today. I'm just not dumb enough to celebrate a win over a team who was missing their all american guard. Best player since Allan Houston came through there. (He played for the New York Knicks) But enjoy your victory!

If you can show where I celebrated then you may have a point. It's a solid victory that hopefully will get them back on the right track after two losses.

But we are desperate for wins now. So UT is a one man team? Did not know that. Someone should tell Bruce Pearl so he can cancel every game till Lofton can come back. Your right, it was a terrible win, we should all be disappointed and talking about how the sky is falling. Or it already fell I guess, after UK's first loss of the season. Ah well, maybe we'll go undefeated next year.

It's a solid victory that hopefully will get them back on the right track after two losses. You have been celebrating and your pointing out how I was wrong when I WAS assuming Loften may play. Nobody knew. Its not a high ankle sprain and a lot of people thought he may go just because it was UK. I am sure you know why he doesn't like UK don't ya? Remember your boy Tubby didn't recruit him... yeah. I don't care what sport what team it is. If you beat someone minus their star player, its not full filling, at least to me it isn't. Have a good night.
January 29, 200719 yr Cats get a W. Really a no-win situation with some fans. IF UK wins a close one, it would be because Lofton didn't play. If UK loses, all heck would have broken loose. If UK wins big...it wouldn't have been that big if Lofton played. But it is what it is....a W. UK can be a pretty nice team when they take care of the ball and make open shots. Still scratch my head at their inability to get the ball inbounds. 2 five second calls, one after a TO and one for a timeout. Meeks hit some big shots that jump started a run. I will take it. On to Fayetteville.
January 29, 200719 yr I don't know about you but I don't consider 16-4 and two of those four losses to the #1 ranked team in the country at that time all that desperate. Don't the Cats have five losses?
January 29, 200719 yr Haven't had time to watch the game yet... I've been busy. Too bad Lofton didn't play, so we don't have this pointless conversation about how the win isn't as significant without him. He wasn't there, nothing is going to change that... UK won, nothing is going to change that. I don't agree with, but I can understand the constant complaining after a couple of losses... But now they won and you're still not happy? What do you want, honestly? If it's a team that goes undefeated, don't ever expect to be pleased.
January 29, 200719 yr Headline from http://www.ukathletics.com Second Half Run Lifts Cats Past Vols LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky got five of its 11 3-pointers as part of a 20-2 run as the Wildcats capitalized on the absence of All-America candidate Chris Lofton to pull away from rival Tennessee 76-57 Sunday afternoon. Without Lofton, the Maysville, Ky., native who leads the Southeastern Conference in scoring average, the Volunteers (14-7, 2-4) not only couldn't answer the bigger Wildcats' inside game but also got beat from outside. Kentucky (16-5, 5-2) led 47-46 with 10 minutes left when the Wildcats' shooters started doing their best Lofton impersonation - hitting long-range buckets with regularity. Funny how the first few paragraphs point out UT's absence of Lofton when we were supposed to be celebrating a victory. At least some UK fans are intelligent enough not to brag over a V against a team without one of the league leaders in SCORING in the SEC. :sssh:
January 29, 200719 yr Your getting a lil slap happy a lil early buddy. There was speculation that Lofton might have played. HAVE a lot of tough games left against teams who's players aren't injured. Don't worry i'll be sure to remind you the rest of the season now. Your true sports knowledge is sad if you dont recognize enough a victory against a team - their best player. Even the UK players recognize Lofton wasn't in the lineup. We have major upside huh? I guess back to back 10 loss seasons are ok with you. Love your standards:thumb: 10 losses? I dont see back to back 10 loss seasons, I see at most maybe 9. I actually interesed who all dont you count as losses. Surely I hope you not saying LSU, Alabama would be losses, because I mean have you seen how they have been tearing it up lately? Then Georgia is a team we will get at home, then Vandy well we due to beat Vandy sooner or later after losing 3 in a row. We beat UT last year with a worse UK team and better UT at UT, so we can very easily do it again. UF now that would be two hard games to win I admit. But from watching this team this year, do you really think they will lose most of those games I mentioned? This team has shown they can be really good team, then I know they have shown they can be a bad team. But you have to think as the year goes on the team will keep improving and do even better...
