Glad to see the students used up all of their allotment for once. :thumb:

They actually used up more than their regular alotment. The ticket office had to open up additional visitor seating to accomodate all of the students that wanted to attend the game. And just so you know, the student section has sold their full alotment for every regular season game.

Honestly that is pretty much true! I know today I was very aggrevated with the crowd for the most part. But as I said once it did hit the 9 minute mark in the second half, the crowd really got into it and the atmosphere was awesome, and you could see the players feeding off the crowd, it was awesome!

Has been that way for the 20 years I have been going. Was very loud at times in the second half. When Meeks hit the three to take the lead to ten, was close to the loudest I have heard it this season.

I was at the game, and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the crowd as always UNTIL it hit the 9 minute mark in the second half. I made point of it to look up at the time on the clock, once the crowd started to get into it, and well looked what happened we went on a big run to get a comfortable lead. But as people who argued with me, the crowd never gives them team more energy, and doesn't mess up the other team...:sssh:

To be honest, there were not too many things in the first half to get really excited about. It takes a nice run or a series of good plays, at either end of the floor, for it to get really, really, loud in Rupp. But once it gets there it is so loud you can barely hear the person sitting next to you. I think the loudest games that I have been too were back in the early 90's late 80's when Arkansas(Corliss Williamson et al) and LSU(Dale Brown era) came to town. The big Florida game when they got to number 1 was very loud for near the whole game. Tayshaun's 15 to open against UNC was very loud. I have been to many other arenas(Dean Dome, Phog Allen Field House, Cameron, Thompson Boling, Freedom Hall, Schottenstein Center, RCA dome, etc. etc.) and all are loud. I think the larger arenas get much louder, even though there is much more space to fill. Cameron is loud, but it did not have that same cavernous loudness that the Dean Dome, Rupp, or Freedom Hall has.

In my opinion: The Fans shouldn't wait for the team to get them excited. The Fans should be nonstop Crazy right out of the gate! This is what Rupp arena should be like when the game starts. :dancingpa :ylsuper: :jump: :fight:  :fire: :flame:

Very true, a lot of people don't realize it, but that's just the way it is at Rupp. When you go into the game expecting to win, it takes more than just going through the motions to get you super excited. It's the complete opposite for UK football, the fans go in expecting to lose most games, so they get excited over the smallest things.

From the prediction thread.

Thought I'd throw that out there.

If thats all you got thats weak son, weak. You need to go back to the drawing board if your slap happy over a W at home against a team with out an ALL AMERICAN PLAYER (who was speculated to possibly play). Maybe you need to look up what that means. Guess your just desperate for any win at this point. Where was your call outs during the Georgia or Vandy game.. exactly...

Simply pointing out how wrong you were saying that it'd take a miracle to win this game even without Lofton playing.

Weak son, weak. I guess your like all the other UK fans celebrating the big win, when the rest of us know we beat a team without there stud player. The win is good but I love how you omit the Vandy/Georgia stuff. Since we beat a ailing team.

Have you noticed how well Vandy and Georgia are playing? Like I said after the Georgia game, if you wanna jump ship... go ahead. I think this team has some major upside if they can get it going.

What is weak? Pointing out how wrong you were? Or wait... did the miracle happen and we won?

Your getting a lil slap happy a lil early buddy. There was speculation that Lofton might have played. HAVE a lot of tough games left against teams who's players aren't injured. Don't worry i'll be sure to remind you the rest of the season now. Your true sports knowledge is sad if you dont recognize enough a victory against a team - their best player. Even the UK players recognize Lofton wasn't in the lineup. We have major upside huh? I guess back to back 10 loss seasons are ok with you. Love your standards:thumb:

Are you really a UK fan, or just pretend to be when they're winning championships?
