Newport takes its undefeated 3-0 record on the road this week to take on 2-1 Ludlow. Newport got a nice win over Boone County last week 24-20. Ludlow rebounded ver my nicely after getting thumped by Sayre on the road 42-0. Ludlow rebounded by thrashing Dayton 61-8. Newport won the regular season matchup last year, but Ludlow won the playoff matchup.

Who wins this Class 1A Showdown? Does Newport stay undefeated? Has Ludlow figured things out after the Sayre loss to get another win against a Class 1A Top 10 foe?

Where is all the Newport and Ludlow fans at?

I’m a little gun shy after being completely wrong about the Ludlow vs Sayre game lol. However, I do think Ludlow will be to physical for Newport in this one. Plus while Newport has some really good players, I think Ludlow has the best player on the field in their RB/LB Damien. Should be a good game, and a good chance this is the first of two matchups again this season. 

This is a very nice Class A non district match up.  I am very interested in how this game plays out to see if either of these two teams push themselves into being  seen as a team that can make a run in the playoffs.

Tough one to pick.

I have to go with the Panthers on this one, should be a good game.

Correction - 12-0 Newport. Ludlow driving early in second.

Newport is a better team than some probably think. I am interested in seeing how the final of this game turns out.
