Barn burner.

Newport pick 6 with under a minute left. Ludlow was threatening. 70 yard return to seal the win.

That pick 6 was only Ludlow’s 3rd pass attempt of the half for the Panthers.

Not so fast, friends. Newport misses the extra point. 27.9 seconds left. Ludlow will get the ball back down 32-24. One last chance, but as stated, nothing has been happening in the air.

22 seconds. Two timeouts. Panthers starting right around the 50.

Hook & ladder. Panthers to the 16 yard line. 16 seconds left.

Correction 18 yard line. 11 seconds left.

Miller to Evans. Touchdown. Newport up 32-30. Wildcats call timeout as Ludlow will prepare to go for two.

The Wildcats stop the Panthers on the run at the one.

Panthers will go for onside kick with 7.6 seconds left.

Newport hangs onto the onside kick.
