The Reds (39-45) travel to New York to take on the Yankees (54-32) starting a 3-game series today. The games are at 7:05 for both tonight and tomorrow. The game on the 4th on Thursday is a 1:05 first pitch.

I don't follow the AL East much.  I was surprised to see the Yankees 22 games above .500 and they aren't even in first place!

Reds take game 1, 5-4.   Any time the Yankees lose is good.   Doubly sweet when it is also a Reds win.

A good night for Elly in his first ever game at Yankee Stadium. He had a triple and a homer with 2 RBI's.

Elly grew up a Yankees fan and his favorite player was Derek Jeter. That was special for him last night.

Great night for ol’ pap.  Reds win, Yankees lose.  Added bonus is that the Orioles go a game up on the pinstripers.

I think this is a really big family bro.

Reds up early 2-0 in the top of the 3rd. They got the 2 runs on a two-run homer by Noelvi Marte.

Reds now led the Yanks 3-0 in the top of the 6th inning.

3-2 Reds, final

I love it!

Marte looks like he will be a good player for the Reds.

Elly is such a fun personality. He got after Diaz for not doing his post game interview in English. It was funny. Elly got the mic and asked Diaz a question in English and Diaz answered hiin in English.

Reds leading the Yankees 2-0 through 4 innings. The Reds have solo homers from India and Martini.
