Coaches do not get players offers unless the player has the ability to play at that level.  A coach can help direct players to camps and send their tape out but the bottom line is a player has to have

Kid is a beast but Mark Higgs was one of the best running backs to ever carry the football at UK and then had many productive years in the NFL.

If you think a high school coach can get a player a committable offer because he has friends that coach college ball then you don't know much about recruiting.  If a player is good enough they will be recruited but a college coach isn't putting his career on the line to offer a player a committable offer because they are friends with a head coach.  That is a great way to get fired.  Is Hampton good enough to play in the SEC yes he is that's why some SEC schools had already offered before Ganaway was hired.

Kid is unreal and more offers surely forthcoming. Be cool to see him stay in state.

Well Ganaway is going to be a great tool for colleges. He played in the NFL and not a lot of people can say that.

I have seen guys who played in the NFL and were high round draft picks make terrible coaches.  Just cause you played at a high level doesn't mean you can coach it.  Pretty sure Nick Saben is 5'6 and he is the best to ever do it.

Kid is a total stud. Comes from some serious athletic genes!

Wisconsin offered today.

I wonder who leads his recruitment as of today.

I think Chad Morris does. Not sure who it was before Coach Fallin resigned.

I meant what school leads in his recruitment. Like which way is he leaning if any.

Michigan visit and offer today.

Looking forward to seeing him play in person next year.  I will say I always find it interesting when it comes to rankings.  Evan is ranked #1 in KY for the class of 2026 according to 247 & ON3.  However, Rivals has Marlon Harbin as #1 in KY for 2026.  In fact, each outlet's top 5 only has 2 players in common (Karsten Busch & Evan Hampton).

I go by offers.  Hampton seems to have more quality ones.  Harbin isn’t top 5 in 247.  Hampton is #2 in rivals but they are so out of date UK is the leader.  That’s laughable.

I was told by my son that Chad Morris did all the grunt work in recruiting. I think it was all done by him in the past several years when he was on the staff. I do hope Coach Ganaway gets him back on the staff in some way.
