Today Covington Catholic beat Cooper 55-45 to advance to the finals, and Highlands beat Ryle 36-31 to advance. Tipoff for the JV finals will be at 6:00pm on Monday, February 19, immediately prior to the finals in the Jack Kaelin NKY Freshman Invitational Tournament.

Will the highlands freshman play in both games or focus on the freshman game? Wasn’t this an issue in football too?

They do not play a whole lot of JV

Curious comment, care to elaborate?   It would seem that the freshman and JV teams are about as even as possible.  I'd say if one isn't competitive in the region the next few years then neither will be.  No doubt that Cooper and Newport will both be strong for a couple more years.
