Make him run the stadium steps. All of them.

The first thing the Bengals need to do is an all-out background check of every draftpick/free agent they are thinking of bringing in this offseason. Drill/threaten/scare these guys before they come in that the Bengals organization doesn't want a bad, or worse image.....and do more than a slap on the wrist.

More preventative things should be done instead of punishing the 8th or 9th guy arrested. It is pretty sad that adults are getting paid millions of dollars and they need baby sitters.

Alright guys, exactly what can Marvin Lewis do under the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the NFL and the Players' Union??????

Suspension is NOT allowed; only the NFL can do that!!!!!

Well, suspension is not allowed, why not take the offenders and bench them. Of course at this point in time it is sadly almost half the team(I exaggerate slightly but you get my point). Tell them that until they straighten themselves out they're job is to keep the bench from getting up or moving at all during a game. A noble goal indeed.

At the same time it could be worded such that it would not be a circumvention of the rules, Marvin could simply state that he has been disappointed in the work ethic of certain individuals and until they improve it they will be on the bench.

Yes, yes, yes you are absolutely correct that Marvin can do this.

The problem is this won't be able to be enacted until September; he can't tell Joseph or the team this now; they would certainly have their attorney file a grievance with the players' union that would cause the Bengals all kinds of problems.

In reality, nothing can be done now.

I don't really see them being able to do anything without the NFLPA being on them...

I was unaware that the NFLPA could tell a coach how to coach his team.

Very true, being out of the season I do not know what they can do.

They can do absolutely positively NOTHING!!!!!!

I think we should bench him for the 2nd half of the 3rd and 4th preseason game next season. :D

I wish the NFL had a minor league system like the MLB where you could send players to work their problems out.
