January 20, 200719 yr You're right, and it sickens me (a true fan). Everybody just loves Tubby though and can't see what's happening.   A true fan? I guess since I dont only get on here to complain about UK when they lose that I am not a true fan then? That is just funny, because as we talked about in are PM's I am as true of a fan of UK as anyone...Also not everyone thinks everything Tubby does is perfect, because Im sure me and others who support Tubby get very mad at him as well. But that doesn't mean we should just only complain about everything instead of actually being a TRUE FAN and supporting the team no matter what. Yeah Tubby definitely needs to improve on some things, like recruiting more consistently as one. You wouldn't have everyone aruging with you if you actually seemed like you support the team when they are doing well, instead of seeing like you root for them to do bad so you can complain. A TRUE FAN is not someone who only complains about the team you say you love. If you have a problem with something then yeah say it, but just dont only complain about it and then go away though and not support the team when it is doing well too....
January 20, 200719 yr The only thing more irritating that fans complaining about a loss is people complaining about fans complaining... There are more people on here complaining about fans complaining about the loss, than people actually complaining about the loss...
January 20, 200719 yr UK just got outplayed today, nothing more, nothing less....They have played well and all this being down, no good teams, etc....:irked: I thought Morris should have touched the ball more late, but Vandy seemed to cover the paint well and extend the "D", forcing UK to shoot from the perimeter and they certainly struggled. UK has lost to two teams, two teams that have been #1....UCLA and North Carolina. A ranked Memphis team and obviously by the stat they posted on TV, a very good Vandy team, which has beaten 4 out of 5 ranked teams. Tip your hat and say well done to Vandy.....at the same time, UK just lost its first SEC game and I'm certain, the sky is not falling across the Bluegrass, just some that wish it would. Good luck next week UK and have at it, Coach Smith naysayers.... :thumb: Good post STRIKE, that sums it up. U.K. seemed not as focused today and it cost us. Vandy came in focused and ready to play. U.K. gets everyones best shot every night out.

U.K. gets everyones best shot every night out. Thanks and give all the credit to Vandy, they won this game....both ends of the floor, they outplayed UK over the long haul. They contested jump shots, blocked out well and extended the "D". They exposed the lack of consistent UK shooters and got the job done, down the stretch. Sometimes the other team wins the game, more than one lost it....today, Vandy was better.
January 20, 200719 yr Derrick Byers never played this well with Virginia, I know that lol Two tough games coming up for the cats at Georgia and home to Tennessee, then the schedule lightens up a little bit with at Arkansas and home to South Carolina. You would think they should come out of that stretch no worse than 3-1. Then the showdown with the gators. : )
January 20, 200719 yr The Cats didn't deserve to win this one, we played terrible, Vandy played great, and the 'Dores got every break possible. This is a young team, and young teams will have highs and lows. I fully expect this team to go to Athens Wednesday and play great basketball. Is it just me or do the UK players seem to feel more pressure in Rupp than on the road? It seems when they are at home they play tighter, and it leads to bad shooting. On the road they seem to let everything flow better. Maybe it is just me, I don't know. GO BIG BLUE!

Now they've won two straight in the building to snap Kentucky's 11-game winning streak -- third longest in the country. Besides the Wildcats and Crimson Tide, Vanderbilt has also knocked off then-No. 16 Tennessee and then-No. 25 Georgia Tech. The Commodores' only loss against a ranked opponent came against then-No. 8 Georgetown in the season opener. Wildcats were only 6-of-22 from 3-point range Kentucky had a 32-27 edge on rebounds, even though star center Randolph Morris wasn't much of a factor until late in the first half. He didn't get his first point until making a free throw almost 15 minutes in and finished with 11 points. http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/gamecenter/recap/NCAAB_20070120_VANDY@KY

Make no mistake, I am a supporter in more ways than you will ever know. It won't be long until a few more of my "Fellow" Supporters are as fed up as I am and change will come. Expectations will rise again, count on it.
January 20, 200719 yr Cats ran into Vandy while they were playing good. We didn't put our best team out there and we lost. It happens, nothing to get all upset about.
January 20, 200719 yr Crawford - 38 minutes - 4-17 fg- 12 points Morris - 31 minutes - 4-8 fg - 3-4 ft - 7 rebounds - 11 points First, excellent info CMIYC....these are the two glaring stats, that stand out. Vandy scouted UK well and contested most of Crawford's shots, all day. Morris has to get more touches and shots. Late second half, Vandy did an excellent job of clogging the post and doubling down low, forcing UK to kick out for perimeter shots, which certainly isn't their strong suit. Vandy did a better job today, forcing UK out of what they do well.

January 20, 200719 yr Make no mistake, I am a supporter in more ways than you will ever know. It won't be long until a few more of my "Fellow" Supporters are as fed up as I am and change will come. Expectations will rise again, count on it. I got a question what do you think my expectations are every year for this team? Because you say expectations will rise again, but my expectations for UK can go any higher than they already are. Unlike the people on here who only talk about a final four, I dont want just a final four because just making it to the final four doesn't leave me happy when the season is over. Unless UK wins the championship, then my season always ends in a sad note. So just because I dont want to complain about every little thing, doesn't mean my expectations for UK have changed at all...
January 21, 200719 yr If this trend continues...Absolutely! Yeah and your a true fan of UK, yet you admit that you might switch teams....
