2007 East Carter

What does East Carter need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

East Carter was very young last year. Only 5 seniors on the roster. We should be better based solely on the number of players returning. Just how much better is yet to be determined. A good winter, spring and summer is a must on the field and in the weightroom.

Who will be East's best player come next year? Their QB seemed to be a quality playmaker.

East's best player is Nate Carrol... If East can find on offensive line something they have not had since the Aaron Miller days... they will be a strong contender in the district... Russell lost a lot but still will be good... dont know much about Mason but if the raiders can find some hogs then look for a strong from the raiders

Theres a good possibility that East might have a different QB next year with Carroll at tailback which in my opinion would make them a much stronger offensive team. As long as Damron is at the helm East program will always be a contender

East Carter could potentially play the top 3 teams in the region during the regular season as they not only must play district foes Russell and Mason County, but also get to host Belfry late in the season. Needless to say, if the Raiders hope to contend for a regional crown they will certainly have a good idea what it takes by the time the playoffs roll around.

Caleb graduated and will be playing baseball at Asbury.

Damron is no longer their head coach, Baldwin is, I believe.

Damron is now Principal at East.

Carroll is a quality high school player, good luck to him and the Raiders this season.

The rumor going throught the grapevine is that East went from 60 players in one practice to 20 the next one.

 

Any truth to that? If so, what happened?

Possibly full squad practice one day....special teams the next morning?

Possibly full squad practice one day....group weights and conditioning the next morning?

Possibly full squad practice one day....only freshman the next morning?

They could have had full practice one day and then the power went out and most everyone's alarm clock's failed the next morning.

 

Whatever the reason, if the right 20 were the ones practicing they will still be pretty good!

As of today East has right at 55 players. Good numbers for a school that size.
