The enforcement of DPI was the correct one. If a defensive penalty occurs on a scoring play the offense can choose to enforce on the try or kickoff. So maybe you don't know the rules like you think you do?

Maybe I don't.  I appreciate you pointing the correct ruling out to me.

Don’t know why but imo not shaking hands at the end was somewhat of an unprofessional move. There was plenty of bad behavior by both teams.

My thought on this...if I am worried about what might happen in the hand shake line, I send my team to the lock room and me (head coach) and a couple of my coaches go through the hand shake line with the other team.

Just re-read how I came across relaying that information. It wasn't meant to be a snooty retort. I asked this question to a friend of mine who use to officiate, because the exact scenario happened. As one would guess we were all confused.

I didn't take it that way, but even if you did, I would have deserved it ?  I was wrong on the ruling and criticizing, which is not a good look.

That is one of the worst officiated 3 minutes in the history of KY high school sports.

No way that white hat has a game this weekend.  None.

I never gripe about officials in terms of calls, judgement decisions, and the like, but this was a lack of game control...among other things.

I have it from a very good source that the white hat and his crew have the Lexington Catholic and Russell game. Unreal!

Alright, I’d have to say if I was either one of those teams I’d call up the commissioner right now. Just the highlight reel we saw, showed some inability to get the game in check (coaches and players have to be the main people to keep that in check) and granting a TD on the 4 yard line after, allegedly, the scoring teams HC told the officials it wasn’t a TD. Not a good look if so.

Does Ashland usually act like this at the end of games? I'd be irate if my players did. I get not shaking hands bc of how chippy it was, but the Ashland players made fools of themselves at the end.

This wasn’t anywhere close to normal behavior for Ashland and why I thought Chad may have added gasoline to the fire at the end. I’ve got much respect for Harrison Co but the officials let the game get extremely chippy by the end and the TD that wasn’t still doesn’t sit well with me. I think most of the kids wanted to shake hands but the staff all but forced them to the end zone and normally they would shake hands then go to the end zone to sing the school anthem and the seniors would lock arms after the other team leaves the field and walk to the other end zone then go off to locker room. I didn’t get to see what happened as video from MyTown cut off and I didn’t go to booster club meeting Tuesday night to see their actual game film that was still going.

That is embarrassing.

I agree 1000%!

This crew was also the same crew that officiated the Covington Catholic and Pikeville game last year in the Pike Co. Bowl and there was a controversy in that game if I remember correctly about a fumble being blow dead.
