Congratulations to the Panthers.  No doubter in this one.  Great little community.

I still think Holy Cross folds the football teepee within a few years.

This year's Indians team is very talented AND with a lot of freshmen.  We can't wait for them to grow up and get the mental part right.  The middle school program is currently very successful.  They have gone to the playoffs the last two years and have had very good regular season records.  Good things ahead for Holy Cross.

In that vein, you can see Ludlow's strength - senior leadership.  I believe that they had 15 seniors recognized last night.  You can also that the team is physically and mentally strong and plays well together.  That takes time to build that culture if they didn't have it before.  Congrats to the Panthers for their district title.

Who is their middle school program? You may be right, but I would think St. Henry will have an impact.
The Crusaders will have a fresh new program with facilities that will dwarf what Holy Cross currently has and will play a decent schedule.
Holy Cross’s present schedule is comical.

What is St Henry’s future schedule?

JV/Freshman next year, and then Varsity in 2025. If I had to guess they will end up in the same district as Beechwood and Walton.

Yes and No. As long as they don’t go back to facing your own district in first two rounds of playoffs. They could possibly avoid playing Beechwood until the semi finals or even state title game with how the RPI dictates things after the second round. So if they build it right, they could become a top program and make deep runs every year even while being in the same district as Beechwood. However, I guess that’s for another thread lol.

If St Henry has success I don’t see it coming at Holy Cross’s expense.  My guess is it’s at the expense of the Boone Co public schools and grabbing the middle talent parochial school kids that may not see the field at CCH but good enough to compete in small school football.  It will be a tall order for the Cru to play with Beechwood in the near future.

May be better off for its own thread but I think St. Henry is in a pretty decent spot.
You are gonna see some regression with Beechwood in my opinion after next season.  Their numbers are dwindling. They cancelled their jv season this year lacking players.  The Sophomore class is small. Graduate 10 or so seniors and have a solid junior class, but after that, other than Fryman the underclass is not up to Beechwood standard.  There are some things swirling beneath the surface with the staff.  Pay/Salary is an issue.
Holy Cross draws from the 275 loop. It’s about as Covington as Covington Catholic is.  Taylor Mill, Independence, Edgewood, Crestview Hills is primary feeder for Holy Cross.  I can see St. Henry plucking some kids.  When comparing infrastructures between the two, it’s a no-brainer.
