Louisville Projected as 6 Seed (NCAA)

Featured Replies

Nice cheap shot to the UK fans.

Please provide a link where you were on record predicting a bowl victory for the Cats prior to the start of last season. I'll accept a prediction of a bowl victory heading into game two. Not a shot at all.

Who cares about NIT projections???

You must not be a UK historian. UK won the NIT (back when it mattered) I think. I don't think the UofL fans should jump off the cliff just yet. Strange things are happening in sports this year.

Assuming they make it, this will be year UL's third NIT in six years. I don't think that can be explained by "strange things" this year.

Forgive me for not mentioning UK's appearance in the NIT, when it was deemed the National Championship.

The "get it before they take it back" approach. I agree.

Best post ever.

This is the worst Louisville team Pitino has had.

Not true.
Not true.

How about this then. It's the worst team Pitino has had with 'his' players..?

Reread my post. Its pretty clear that the "strange things' I was referring to was that maybe UofL won't end up in the NIT again and actually might in a "strange year" like this make it into the NCAA. As I've already posted that UK actually played in a bowl game and won. I think if you check the record you will find that UofL has played in quite a number of NCAAs since that feat was last accomplished by the Cats. Sorry for the confusion.

As if there aren't cheap shots in this thread to the UL fans?? Give me a break....

So it would be strange for UL, "one of the greatest basketball programs ever", to not end up in the NIT and make the NCAA. Wow! Does your wife know what you are saying? Make sure that life insurance policy is up to date.:D

At this point, yes. It is funny how quickly a team can rise and fall in today's basketball. After the run that UK had in the 90s would anyone have predicted that they would win it all in 98 and then not return to the final 4 for the longest stretch in team history? Believe it or not, this season may be the 9th in a row of final 4 frustration. FYI, the wife is more of a fair-weather-fan than she appears. She is pretty down on Rick and the Cards right now. I just call them like I see them.

Maybe true that the Cats have had a final four drought. I am just so glad however that we can watch our team during March to see how they are doing in the office pool. Hard to imagine having a high paid coach like Pitino and not being able to participate in the real tourney.

I think this team is much more talented than last year's team.

And there are only three teams at Louisville that you can say were Pitino's players, those being of course the past three years. 2004-05 was the best, 05-06 was the worst, this team is in the middle.
