Dust yourself off: In the world of sports, it pays to have a short memory. The highs and lows can both work against you. Dixie Heights and Conner were laid low last week, suffering their worst losses of the season. After near misses against Beechwood and Covington Catholic, the Red Colonels finally caught a haymaker from Highlands, while the Cougars narrowly avoided a running clock against Cooper. 

They'll scrape themselves off the canvas and try to get back in the winner's circle in Hebron.

Both defenses have proven vulnerable, so a high scoring, battle royale could be in the cards.

I like Dixie in this game. 

Dixie gets back right this week. 43-7 Dixie.

Heard Conners Ben Fay got hurt last week. Anyone know how he is? If he’s playing?

Don't know the extent of the injury, but he went out in the 1st quarter and did not return. Looked to be serious as he was carted off the field. 

 

Prayers for the kid. He was giving Cooper a hard time on both sides of the ball. Injuries suck.

He’s out for the year is my understanding….has some knee issues, possibly a tear not sure which tendon though.

That’s a tough loss for Conner, And sad for the senior getting his season cut short. Hopefully it’s nothing to serious and he can make it back for part of the basketball season.

CalPreps favors the Red Colonels 28-17. Due respect for the Cougars, but if it's closer than that, I might have to rethink Dixie is the best 2-4 team in the Commonwealth.

I don’t see the cougars finding the end zone twice tonight. 43-7 and Conner punts more times than they will cross the 50.
