Good if the 15 don't become the 5 in three years.

For a school of Grant Co.'s size, their athletics has always been a mystery to me - a few stars across all sports every few years, but not a lot of depth - ever.

It's different seeing CovCath with the hand they've been dealt in this district. Even if there wasn't a lot of depth in previous districts, they at least had Highlands. Even if they blew out Conner or Cooper, they couldn't just show up and go through the motions.

They can afford to go through the motions now. I don't know that that's a good thing. This district could dull a sharp knife.

It's probably way more likely that the 15 become 5 than stay intact the next three years. There's always at least a few that drop out for one reason or another.

This does worry me, especially considering how uncompetitive the rest of the regular season schedule looks. However, the way Eddie meticulously prepares his teams I am not too worried when it comes to playoff time. Additionally, a lot of young, talented players get lots of experience which is a huge plus.

Grant County's team is now exiting their weight room with about 8 minutes to kickoff. I don't believe the Braves warmed up before the game. 🤷‍♂️

I swung by Moonbird and had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich before I headed here to the stadium. Solid bar food. Not a bad little spot.
