I seriously think you all are sleeping on Ashland.  I would personally have them at three right behind Corbin. And, to be honest, I would not argue with anyone that had them above Corbin.

Honest answer here, who have they played that makes them compare to whom Cov Cath, Boyle and Corbin have beat?  They were trounced by HHS, a team CC beat. I don’t see them above the top 3.

I know most in Kentucky don't know much about George Washington in West Virginia, but they are a huge school that is normally pretty darn good at the football.  Obviously, I don't know how they would stack up with the other team ahead of Ashland in this ranking, but I can assure you they are good.  

Ashland has what it takes in a lot of positions.  And, the scary part is, most of Ashland's talent is juniors.  I'm no Ashland fan, in fact, many Ashland fans would tell you I'm unfairly biased against Ashland.  But, I know good, and Ashland is good.

I think you have 3 levels in 4A. The first level is Boyle, Corbin and Cov. Cath. The next level you have Franklin Co., Paducah Tilghman and Ashland and in the 3rd level the rest of the pack. You can be a good team at the 2nd level and still not close to the first 3.

The best part about it is the build up and anticipation into the playoffs,we’re we will all find out who was over hyped and who was underrated! I personally feel 1-5 is a lot closer than most people think. I haven’t had the chance to watch Franklin county yet so I’m not sure about them.

Okay, the Tomcats are a good team but I don't know that I will say the same for  2 wins and 3 losses George Washington in W.Va. who are currently ranked #12 (all rankings are from MaxPreps for W. Virginia. and are across all classes).

GW has lost 42-13 to Huntington, currently 4-0 on the season and ranked #1.

GW has lost 49-21 to Cabel Midland, currently 5-0 on the season and ranked #3.

GW has lost 42-21 to Ashland, Ky.

Hey, I’m fine with us calling Ashland number 5. I just think  they are better. I said this in the preseason.  Many don’t think them Better.  We will all find out soon enough.
