January 17, 200719 yr The Cats looked good against a terrible Gamecocks squad. The offensive showed movement, and overall they made great decisions tonight. I love Morris' increased production on the boards, he really looked strong tonight, alebeit against a smallish team. Could care less about the rankings as long as they keep on rolling.

January 17, 200719 yr Great rebound from the last game. They played great D and the shots were falling. Its amazing the difference with the 3s go down. :thumb: Absolutely, makes it that much easier to get the ball inside.

January 17, 200719 yr I have been pretty hard on Crawford this year, but I will say he is playing some great ball right now. If he keeps this up it could be a very good thing for the Cats.
January 17, 200719 yr There will be no more blowouts for the rest of the season,is what I told the guys at work yesterday. Boy, was I wrong.If someone would have told me the Cats would win by almost 40, I would have told him,only in your dreams. The Cats played about as good as they can last night,but still think they can get even better.It was so good last night just to sit back in my recliner and enjoy. Go Cats,keep the winning coming. January 17, 200719 yr A few observations: 1) Crawford is letting the game come to him now...It reminds me alot of Keith Bogans, who began doing the same thing about midway into his Jr year... 2) Thomas looked very good tonight...He looked alot quicker and more active tonight than in past games...Thats a good sign since Perry isn't playing too great... 3) Morris was hustling up and down the court and made a few easy baskets that otherwise wouldn't have been there. He needs to continue playing with that type hustle... 4) Woo can play. He showed a nice touch from 12-15 ft and although he'll never start, he can be a big contributer down the stretch... 5) The team is doing much better with there ball movement which is giving them alot of easy looks. Much less standing around than earlier in year... 6) Jasper, albeit, a good defender and ball handler is going to have prove he can hit an outside shot. JC and RB aren't going to hit the 3's every game like they did in this game... 7) Meeks is a better ball handler than I thought. He's not a pt guard, but, can help break a press and with his shooting ability, can give the Cats a big lift off the bench when others shots aren't falling... 8) This team is finding it's identity. Every player is learning there roles and playing within the Tubby team concept. Reminds me alot of the 02-03 team that wasn't the most talented, but, got everything possible out of what they had...

I thought that 02-03 team was pretty talented myself...Fitch, Bogans, Hayes, Daniels, Estill, Camara, Hawkins, Barbour...they might not have had 5-star power, but they had a lot of very good college basketball players. When you add them together, they were plenty talented, IMO.
January 17, 200719 yr Although it wasnt much of a "game" to watch it was a great performance. The CATS dominated on both ends of the floor. It would sure be nice to see the dominance back in Kentucky Basketball. Lets hope Crawford stays hot, Yoter
