As someone who has done play-by-play for more than 15 years, it's harder than it looks. IMO, the kids at Boyle do a good job. The young man that started BSN and did play-by-play for the previous four years was really good! It may take a while for the new broadcasters to get up to speed.

Jack Little was the announcers for the last 4 years. We enjoyed following him those years.

The Rebel faithful aren’t out here saying anything about 15-0! Just want to win the last playoff game of the year. FD should and will be favored vs Boyle on October 27th. Just hope we can keep that on

  • I am pretty sure the rebels were tested against LCA.

  • I wonder how Boyle’s speed looks to some now?

Good luck to both teams and safe travels for everyone!

I’ll take the Rebels by 3 scores.

Wondering if Scott is physical enough to make this game interesting? Boyle has yet to be tested and I expect this to be a test of how physical they are up front.

I believe Quisenberry has another crazy outing and Boyle runs away in the second half.

Boyle -42

SC- 21

You don’t think the LCA game was a test?

I thought Boyle was tested against LCA and Scott County is usually very physical.  The question I have, is will SC be skilled enough to stop Boyle and score enough to win.

I don't think it was a physical test, no. I don't think any team that has a Tony Franklin/Spread system-based offense is physical. That is strictly my personal opinion.

Coach Mckee has had success by putting teams in the phone booth and being more physical in the past. I am not saying Boyle is soft by any means, but that style of play can alter the game. Ask the teams that had to play Belfry when they were winning state championships without throwing a pass. If Scott can play that 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust ball game tonight can Boyle be physical in the phone booth is what I am asking?

Another great take! Is Scott athletic enough to slow this game from turning into a FD/SC type matchup the past couple of years?

Oh, that is different than what I was thinking too.  I agree the Cards are going to be super physical and if they can control the ball and score they have a chance to win the game.  However, Boyle is so skilled that I fear Scott County is going to get down and therefore have to abandon their bread and butter for some cinnamon toast.

Overall I don't think Boyle is as athletic as Douglass so I don't think it will be a Boyle rout but I guess I can't rule it out.

That has been the issue since the whole "King of the 859!" Year. Douglass has had more athleticism. Boyle is in the same position now. Quisenberry is different and I don't know if there is a matchup for him across the line of scrimmage.

Right but Q is just one young man, Douglass has a loaded roster.

In the game you felt they were tested in though he had 8 Carries 118 Yards 3 TD. What is stopping him from doing that tonight?
