Looks like a toss up. I'll go with Birds since they are playing at home. I would prefer Ryle win though since they are a St. X opponent and has RPI impact.

speaking of RPI, any idea when the data is going to be released?

If he does and it works, then great!  Love the confidence. If he does and it doesn't, then this message board may crash.

  • Make sure you call it openly bias for the Bluebird faithful. Don’t give any credit to Ryle or speak negatively about the Birds and you should be ok.    I’ll be tuning in as I won’t be going any

Since 2010 HHS has a 7-5 record against Ryle.  Until CCH started their current streak, Ryle was just about the only NKY team to beat them.  This is one of the best rivalries NKY has going.  Can't wait go get to Ft Thomas.

Start of the fifth playing week; looks like September 11.

Highlands has more talent and should win. But if they decide to turn the ball over, commit dumb penalties and get outplayed on special teams, Ryle is more than good enough to beat them.

Highlands opposing QBs this season…

Game 1- 237 yds, 3 TDs, 1 Int

Game 2- 205 yds, 3 TDs, 0 Ints

Game 3- 365 yds, 4 TDs, 0 Ints

Game 4- TBD (Verax)

We will see if the trend continues Friday night. If Verax is the QB I’m lead to believe he is, the expectation should be to eclipse or reproduce those numbers, I.e. ~250 yds and 3TDs. If Highlands holds him below that benchmark or he turns it over a coupes of times, I believe the Birds win. Otherwise I see a shootout.

Just what I needed to read.  I have stayed away from this thread and now I wish I would have continued to stay away.

Highlands is definitely not more talented, just more experienced. Ryle is starting about 5 or so Sophomores, a few that start both ways. Wouldn’t suprise me if they ultimately have close to 10 college football players from their roster.

With that stated, HHS should be a slight favorite in this game playing at home. Should be a good one.

Highlands by 21 if they keep their emotions in check

I saw the Birds live against CovCath and if they were gashing the CC defense without even stretching the field. Penalties and Turnovers are apart of the game, if they limit them they win without a true fight. I was at this game last year and Ryle had a shot but alas they just had too many turnovers. So if we are going with experience vs inexperience, I’ll take the Birds. Hopefully it’s a nail biter.

We played both teams the two first games of the season. Highlands is bigger and has more team speed. Current size and athleticism is what I equate to talent.

For example, Giesler is significantly better at RB than the soph that Ryle starts that has an FCS offer. Maybe the younger guy ends up being better, but is not close to Giesler now.

I’ll go w Highlands QB Benke over Verax.

Highlands is definitely the more athletic physical team in this match up.

10 Ryle College commits???? Has that ever happened in Ryle’s history?
