Always enjoy listening Friday mornings, a nice appetizer before the Friday night lights.

Want to thank Coach Mark Spader for bringing up the great Dan Haley in his interview, a huge staple of the Purples program and a man who would be proud of his successors since his departure from the program. 

One coach of my knowledge who was a HC and not a teacher at the school was Steve Long @ Warren East HS in 2013 and 2014.

All the guest coaches and yourselves have talked about having great assistants around them, my question to you all would be, did you mold them into what you wanted them to be as coaches or did you encourage the different aspects they have of the game?

Thank you for representing KY HS football in the way you all do, keep up the great work.

Loved this episode. I could feel the anger from Coach Smith through his microphone about how the past Danville administration has allowed the once great rivalry to be as he said “not a rivalry anymore”. Unless I mistook that as anger. Nothing he said was false and it only helps your program to Play other programs that are going to push you to your limit. Once again great look back at the Owensboro Red Devils, my favorite part of the show actually.

Who was the best Yeast at old Harrodsburg HS?

In the early 70’s, Bo Yeast was like Barry Sanders, Jim Brown and Walter Payton in central KY. If you ever saw a KY Advocate(Saturday night/Sunday morning in the fall) prepped by Bill & Larry Vaught, you may remember those days.

 

50 years later on our podcast, we ask Craig Yeast, who was the BEST Yeast to play for Harrodsburg HS?

 

I can say this, over the past 8 years, there is ONE name that I ‘ve heard, consistently, and it is from people that would know.

 

If you are not from Harrodsburg, the name may surprise you.
