Enjoyed the episode with Mike Archer.  Can't wait for the May episode with Chris Mason.  I heard Chris Mason has to pay his barber by the square foot !

Coach Archer and Coach Smith were at UK together. You will enjoy this episode!

The Coaches Office: Behind the Scenes of HS Football w/ Chuck Smith & David Buchanan (Mike Archer Offseason 2, Episode #3)

Would be great to have some BGPreps people in the audience and asking tough questions!

Thank you Listeners! As you would expect.... Coach Smith says, #6 is good, but we are after #1!

?

We had a great time doing this from the lockerroom at Anderson County Bearcats Football!

Questions:

1- Should the KHSAA use AI to do the football district alignment?

2- 50 KY HS's will have a new HFC in 2024. Why?

3- When is the best time to have spring football practice in KY?

4- BGPreps: What was the best era of KY HS Football?

5- When is it ok to buy out a game contract?

6- What will UK Football be like in 2024?

7- Was Mark Pope a good hire for UK Mens HBC?

Looking for a TOUGH TOPIC for the 5/2 episode. We will record on 4/29.

Our last episode we used questions from BGPreps.

Please post some questions in this thread!

Should Ky drop down to 5 classes?  Or maybe even 4?

Should every team make the playoffs?  Maybe not make it only 2 from each district but maybe the top 3.  District champs get a bye for week 1 while the 2nd and 3rd place team from cross district play to meet district champs.  That way MOST teams would still make the playoffs but at least you would have to place at least 3rd in district to make it.  Playoffs would still be 5 rounds but District champs would get a bye for week 1.

Should Guardian Caps be mandatory for youth and middle school football?

CalPreps is not perfect but could Coach's association submit a proposal to KHSAA to try it for a 1 season trial to see if it works better?

Combined pro shuttle, scoop & score, Interception. Very efficient. High tempo drill. Required a full speed effort for an extended time. Kids enjoyed it. Good challenge. Had to properly catch & carry football…. All positions.

Coach Smith would have enjoyed this one. Would have been spit flying everywhere.  ?
