MLB on Fox is reporting that the Reds are calling up prospect Christian Encarnacion-Strand from Louisville.

One cool fact I read with his debut tonight he will go down in history in the MLB as having the longest full name (first & last) in the history of baseball.

I read that he's played nearly every game as a corner infielder (except for a handful in the outfield) and is expected to DH quite a bit.

Exactly 2 games in the OF. One in right, one in left.

His first hit in the big leagues was an upper deck 3 run homer to give the Reds the lead in the 5th inning, 8-7.

Has 8 hits in 11 games, which includes 0-3 0-3 0-1 in last three games. Has struck out less than once per game (7). I don't think he's in over his head, just a rookie doing rookie things.

He's definitely on the struggle bus today, 0-3 so far with 3 K's.
