What a weird wording...

Maybe "Interesting wording" is more what I'm thinking.

I am fan of Levi Ray and Bethlehem. Unfortunate but this is not the first time for something like this to happen in coaching. Better days are ahead for both and I wish them both the best. Right now this all stings, but at some point, looking back, this will just be a bump in the road for both of them.

I think it is very poor form to resign at this point of the year unless it is some type of medical issue. It really puts those kids in a bind.

The timing is not good.

Who would be the most likely candidate to take this job?

And for the Kids sake I hope it's very soon.

It is not good, but you never really know until you have been in a position for awhile. If you realize it is not a good fit, best for everyone to move on.

This is one reason I have tried to be slow/ deliberate on these decisions over the years.  I didn’t want this to ever happen to me, but it very well could have and I know other coaches with great intentions that it did play out like this.

It's not, but is it really ever? If, and they do, Bethlehem has a good core nucleus of talent, they'll be just fine. Hiring a coach in January or June isn't going to make a difference when or if you have the above in place as well as going along with the amazing support system with the administration they have at their school. Their administration is top notch, their new facilities are amazing, supportive parents, etc.

Kids are resilient, much more than us adults.

It's no different than seeing administrators leave for other jobs this time of year and countless other coaches who have resigned/moved onto other jobs in these spring-early summer months (too many to count over the years). If they have the people (players and administration) and support in place? They'll be fine. If they don't? They won't..whether the new coach is named in January or June.

These things aren't the end of the world, nor close, especially for a program like Bethlehem has in place.

Well I am sure there is much more to all of this.   Just tough to hammer a coach when you don’t have all the details…
