Final a good game. Ashland just made a few more plays. A good game to end the first day's games. A tough loss for the Red Devils they just did not make the FT's down the stretch. Also, interesting fact that these two teams are two of the all-time Kentucky High School programs but Owensboro has never beat Ashland in the State tournament. They are 0-6 vs the Tomcats all-time in the tournament.

Wow, I thought Oboro had this one, credit to Ashland for never giving up.

Looked like an exciting finish.  

Three out of four games were really tight.  Fun first day.

Both teams had their chances. Refs were letting them play the entire game. Very physical from the onset.  Nice win for the Tomcats, the Red Devils left it all on the court. Hated to see either team lose.

 

 

Great comeback by the Tomcats! That was one of the most physical games I’ve seen in a while. 

Don’t  these two schools have the most appearances in the Sweet 16? 
Does anyone know how many each has? 

Watched it on NFHS great game both teams and the officials let be physical to a point which made the game fun to watch. Owensboro has nothing to be ashamed of hey left it all on the court. Good luck to coach Bonner and the Tomcats on Friday evening.

Owensboro leads state at 45.  I think Ashland is second with 36 or so.

Has Ashland’s administration removed the interim tag from Bonner yet??
