Why risk a slumping season or blowing out his knee again. Look at Bush.. a lot of hype lasted what 3 quarters? The NFL experts didn't agree with you. Bush was projected 2nd or 3rd round last year. A fact that was confirmed by his NFL evaluation. Could be why he stayed. Looked like a good plan on paper, but things happen. He will get a shot at the NFL.

Is Leinart really a good comparison since he was projected to be a sure fire top 5 pick, and #1 QB taken? Brohm is projected as the #3 QB, mid to late 1st round.

 

I think Brohm will be the first QB picked if he comes out, but he might be better in the long run to be a mid to late 1st round pick. That being said, I think that he will stay since his brother is still there.

When it comes to UL info, 02Ram is almost always dead-on. I'll look for Brohm to return.

I would love to see him come back but I think it might hurt him. Losing Petrinois the biggest loss. Learning a new offense will take time and growing pains. Bush being gone is tough but he was used to that this year. He would leave the biggest hero in Cardinal football history with his last apperance on the stage as the MVP of the Orange Bowl.

I'll be honest I haven't looked at all the QB's coming out after this year. Russell and Quinn will go ahead of him this year but he shouldn't be far down the list after that. Unless he feels like he can be the number 1 pick? Something that I think people forget when it comes to $$ is that he can get an insurance policy. It's not the same $$ but it's not bad either!

Let's look at the flip side in this....let's say he does slide some in next year's draft...what does that really mean? That he got drafted by a team that is marginally better than the worst teams in the league. Sure it may hurt the pocket book initially, but he is in it for the long haul, and will look at his career decisions that way also. I am still thinking that he will be declaring, but wouldn't it be cool, if he stays hum about the decision, as if he were never gonna say anything, and that he was always coming back

Should take some advice from tOSU WR Anthony Gonzales (a player not nearly the caliber of Brohm) "The scouts said im a 2nd round draft pick, that is good enough for me. If I come back next year, there is a chance I may get injured and never get to play this game again."

 

Brohm an almost guaranteed first round draft pick. Has a lot more to lose then gain by coming back to school. If he goes in 07 he's a first round draft pick, if he goes in 08.. he's a first round draft pick.. that is if he doesn't have any serious injuries. Then he could be anywhere from 2-4th round or maybe have a serious career injury.

 

He very well could come back and do great. But again, he is a first round draft pick??? I am not UL fan by any means but he has paved his own way to success. This kid is set for life probably but just signing his name on a contract in a few months. Its a big risk.

 

To be fair, I will say the same thing about my man Teddy Ginn.. his stock is super high and he should go pro. That is if his newly acquired ankle injury doesn't keep him out of NFL workouts. Perfect example of a bad break right there.

You know, I always hear this, but Matt Leinart came back, got his degree, was God in L.A., dated Paris Hilton, put up gaudy numbers, only lost the national title because Vince Young pulled something out of his rear end, was drafted tenth instead of first because of "arm strength," did lose a considerable amount of money but still is making mega-millions, got a whole bunch of endorsements out West, won the starting job mid-season, and after losing a couple ended up having a pretty decent rookie year on a horrid team.
