Should be an interesting season at Community Stadium.

-Pretty loaded Home Schedule, Simon Kenton, Dubose, Pulaski , Scott and Ballard.
-District is an upgrade with Scott Co.  and old Rival Anderson, newer rival Collins, and they have zero connection with South Oldham, except they are in the 8th Region. All that being said going to be harder road, but they should me more prepped for the post season. They will now cross over with the Nky schools. 

 

Have heard will be getting a big time addition to the roster from a state championship team this past season. 

I'm tuning in for the rematch against SK. See if the play by play boys think they are getting homered at home.

For sure, and furthermore to hear if the same announcers are still permitted to do Woodford games.

Who all is returning for WC this year? I can’t imagine Jasper Johnson playing anymore and that senior class did well over the years. Losing the RB and Nelson will be huge. 

WEB DuBois has dropped Woodford County from their schedule for Week 3 to play Shelby County instead. That leaves Woodford with an open spot to fill in their schedule either on September 1st or on September 22nd, which was their originally scheduled bye week.

Pretty lame to cancel on someone this late….hope they can find a game….On listserv said they would look for an out of state game…..that is a RPI killer.

I don't know how recent the cancellation was on DuBois' part. I noticed at least a couple of months ago when I was checking various schedule listings (Hudl, etc) that DuBois no longer had WOFO listed. But it's definitely tough at this point for Woodford to try to pick up an opponent.

As for the RPI, I'm not sure how bad an out-of-state opponent would be compared to DuBois since DuBois is currently not in district play...it may end up turning out the same as far as RPI points are concerned. Additionally, the fact that DuBois is only scheduled to be a 2A program once they do join district competition isn't going to be a big RPI booster for Woodford in the first place.

I wonder if Pikeville is still open on Sep 22? That would be a pretty awesome matchup.
