We've reached the final ranks!  This week we see the top 8 remain the same as all appear locked in for the postseason.  Bowling Green takes a big plunge as they take it on the chin from two ranked teams this week, but it was the size of the margins that caused a real tumble.  Western is the big mover this week, owing just as much to the adjustments of Mason County, Collins, and Bowling Green as it did to their win over PRP.  Trinity enters the top 10 for the first time since December, and Grant County makes their long sought debut in the rankings.

Who is too high? Who is too low? Who should be in, who should be out?

Some final composite notes as well:

-36 different teams were ranked in the top 20 this year.
-9 teams were in for only a single week - three of those were in the initial rankings, unable to match their preseason expectations.  
-13 teams were in the rankings every single week of the year. 9 of those teams are in the final top 10.
-Frederick Douglass is the only team in the top 10 that spent any time not in the rankings this year.  They were ranked for the final seven weeks of the poll.  
-Three different teams were ranked #1 this season - Warren Central (7 weeks), George Rogers Clark (3 weeks, incl. preseason), and Covington Catholic (1 week).  
-In terms of average rankings, the top five for the year were Warren Central, Covington Catholic, George Rogers Clark, Lexington Catholic, and Great Crossing.  All five are the only teams not to leave the top ten at any point.
-McCracken County (18) and DeSales (20) were the only teams in the average rankings top 20 not in the final poll.  
-Warren Central (1), Lexington Catholic (2), North Oldham (3), Frederick Douglass (4), Lyon County (6), Evangel Christian (13), Grant County (18), and Conner (20) all end at the highest ranks they attained this season.

Nice to see Grant getting some love. They’ve beaten several top 20 teams.

Many thanks. Had a now-defunct account years ago when I still lived in Kentucky. Started browsing the forums recently and recognized many users who are still active. Good to be back. 

Love to know more about Frederick Douglas. Couple good wins. One elite win over GRC. Coupe double digit loses to good teams. Other than that seems like an average schedule but they are the team I am least familiar with in top 20.

Very young team, they start three sophomores, their two losses were early in the season.  I've seen this team a couple times of late, they're for real.  Yes, they did play a so called weak schedule, did it hurt them, I don't know.

Can they win the 11th, yes they can.

At least half of the top 20 will be eliminated after the region championship games, possibly more if there are significant upsets.  

Interesting to note:

- 11th Region has teams ranked 2, 4, and 7 . . . only one can advance!

- 7th Region has teams ranked 9, 10, and 12 and the 6th Region has teams ranked 13, 14, and 15 . . . should make for very competitive tournaments!

- 8th Region has teams ranked 3, 17 and 18.

- 9th Region has teams at 8 and 10 and the 10th Region has teams at 5 and 16

3. Frederick Douglass (26-2, 15-2 region, 9-0 42nd): Two more victories for the Broncos with relatively easy wins against Bryan Station and Lafayette to stretch the winning streak to 23. Melo Boone and Kai Simpson scored 22 points each against Bryan Station. The Broncos have beaten George Rogers Clark during the streak. Their only losses are to rankings leaders Great Crossing and Lexington Catholic, who are much more battle-tested than Frederick Douglass. The top-seeded Broncos await Monday's 42nd District tournament first-round winner of Henry Clay vs. Bryan Station in Tuesday's semifinals at Frederick Douglass.

Do not slack yourself any credit! At this rate I think that you will be doing half of the states regional rankings/reviews within the next few years lol.

Also the 4th region has the #1 and #19 teams.  18 of the top 20 teams competing for 7 spots. 

The 5th Region did not have a team ranked in the top 20 all season. Truly a down year for the Region.
