The Dohn Community (Home school) game could be a 70-0 game if Pikeville wants it to be that close.

Scheduling must have been really hard. Very surprising game on the schedule.

Seems to be teams all over the place do not want any part of Pikeville?

Coach McNamee was our first guest coach on the podcast. He will have the Panthers ready to roll in 2023!

Aug 18 vs. Pulaski County
Aug 25 vs. Johnson Central (Pike County Bowl)
Sep 2 at Lexington Christian Academy
Sep 8 vs. Raceland
Sep 15 at Belfry
Sep 22 - OPEN
Sep 29 - OPEN
Oct 6 at Dohn Community (OH)
Oct 13 vs. Paintsville (District)
Oct 20 at Hazard (District)
Oct 27 at Boyd County

I'm hearing tell that the Dohn Community game may be in question. But Boyd County has released their schedule and it shows a home game against Pikeville in Week 11.

I also touched base with Coach McNamee to let him know that Woodford County is potentially open on September 22nd. That would be a pretty awesome game to see happen.

Pikeville confirmed the game against Dohn Community. The Panthers will travel there for a Thursday night game on October 5th.  I have no information on the Dohn program, so I don’t know what to expect from the game.

Dohn Community is 15-36 since 2015. This will be the first year they play a KY school. Dohn plays at Holy Cross (Covington) September 25.

I thought Harlan was also in their District?

No. District 7 has five teams (Harlan, Lynn Camp, Middlesboro, Pineville, and Williamsburg). District 8 has just three (Hazard, Paintsville, and Pikeville). The fifth-place team in D7 plays the first-place team in D7 in the first round of the playoffs. The fourth-place team in D7 will play the first-place team in D8.

Here is the episode w/ Coach Chris McNamee. He was our first ever guest coach. The Panthers would go on to win the Class A State title in 2022. Great man and friend as well!

Per the David & Darryl Sports Network, Quentin Warren, who is younger brother of former Belfry QB Sani Warren (BHS '14), opted to start at Pikeville instead of Belfry. Big loss for the Pirates, big pickup for the Panthers.

Quentin will be entering his freshman year at Pikeville.
