Royals take down the Knights in Owensboro.

Big win! Ended a 19 game win streak for LexCath. I caught the end, Mason County survived a potential buzzer beater three. They’d missed the front end of a 1 and 1, and LexCath went length of court out of a timeout, but got an open look.

? Royals rule, Congratulations to the "Fighting McPapas!"

Did one team or the other slow the game down, or did they both just have trouble scoring?

I only saw the very end, so tough for me to say. But I do know that these teams played a lot of games in a short time, and I feel like this is not uncommon to just see them not look quite right at the end of that. Your legs simply aren’t there and it messes with all aspects of your game.

I’m not surprised. I’ve seen Mason play twice and I could tell they have something special going on.

Heck of a win for the Royals.

Henry named the tournament MVP.

It was LexCath's fifth game in seven days.

And 3 of them were blowouts.  I knew there had to be some excuse.

Tournament basketball. Great preparation for the postseason.

That’s for sure.  Mason also played the last game very late on Friday night, but that’s the way tournaments go including the state championship.

Not much of a crowd.

As I've said in the past, I don't know how this deal can survive.

Especially not in Owensboro.
