1 for 24 from deep for Boyle?   That sounds ugly to watch. 

DCA length out of their extended zone can cause a lot of problems.  Having a 7 footer at the rim takes away a lot of easy ones.  Big win for the Warriors.  

Boyle has 10 football players playing basketball. They have 5 actual days of practice. Shooting, as we saw in this game really suffers early in the season. Remember even under these circumstances the game was tied at 50 with 3 plus minutes to go. Season still has a long way to go.  We will see how both teams improve.

Can people not give DCA credit? Why so many excuses?  They bring in arguably the best PG in the region, and the school he left beat DCA last week… That’s facts. 

No question about the facts. They work both ways. Most of the Boyle players play 2 or 3 sports. It would make a big difference if they only could practice one sport year round. No one was taking anything away from DCA but facts are facts.

Don has those kids playing well. They have been building for a run and we are starting to see the work the DCA program has put in.  Garrard just outplayed DCA but I still believe DCA is the better team. That is the fun fact about this district and region. If you don't bring your A game you can get beat on any given night. Its great to see quality players throughout this region.

Boyle does always get better as the year progresses. They’ll be fine.
 

With DCA now in the 45th, these are the earliest district games I remember in at least fifteen years. Garrard grabbing an early win and Boyle taking an early loss in games not typically played until mid-January could have an effect on the district standings come February. I still think it will all sort itself out by the end. No matter what, the 45th is going to be a fun group to follow all season. 

I understand they have football guys, but when they were losing early games it was “we have JV guys playing” and now “we need more practice time”.  You lose the game, accept it and move on.  I’m sure some of the other teams would like to have any of their young talent or football players…And, what makes it unbearable to listen to is it comes from their coaching staff.  Having assts. complaining about meaningless rankings saying “Boyle is being slept on” is a joke.  No one sleeps on Boyle Co.  Everyone knows they’re talented and will be a contender.  

Not to derail this thread, but when might there be some realignment in the 12th?  Seems crazy there's a 3-team district and the 45th has 6 teams now (or is it 7?  I know there's Somerset Christian and KSD too, right?).

Right now I’d say Lincoln and DCA have to be the favorites to come out of the district, then Danville and Boyle outside looking in. Garrard already beat DCA but I still don’t think they have the horses to get out of the district.

Somerset Christian is in the 48th. I believe the 45th is Lincoln, DCA, Danville, Boyle, Garrard & KSD (now that they’re back).
