Bowling Green climbs the ranks as they top North Laurel on a neutral floor - North Oldham takes a hit as they drop three in a row, albeit against top competition and with one of those coming without Dallas Roberts. 

Who is too high? Who is too low? Who should be in, who should be out?

List looks really solid. Not sold on great crossings or Lex cat but time will tell. 

It would be hard to argue with your rankings. I'm looking forward to the King of the Bluegrass Tournament later this week. Warren Central, Trinity and DeSales are all looking good this year, as are GRC, Great Crossing, and Spencer County.  Should be a nice tournament!

It's too early for me to label anyone underrated, but Mason County is my pick to climb the rankings ladder this season. They're off to a great start and the senior trio of Henry, Mastin, and Bierley should have the Royals piling up wins in the shadow of GRC.

Royals are looking really good early.  That win over Lyon County was a nice one.

I think these rankings are pretty good.  But I have to admit, I have a tough time seeing North Laurel, who I know is a very good team, ranked 7 spots above Bowling Green.  I know BG rose 8 spots.  Do I think BG is #5 in the State?  Likely no, but today 3 days removed from defeating North Laurel, I do think they deserve to be ranked higher than them because they defeated them on the court.  Not mad or anything about it, but winning head to head should mean something.

Yes, Mason County will most likely have a lofty record, but they also have a very soft schedule in my opinion.  I did like the win over Lyon County.

I think the Bracken game in Lexington will be very interesting.

I know both teams were missing pieces but Chadwell was out for North right?

Chad well was out for North. I think Barber is only guy that I haven’t seen in a box score yet for Bowling Green, though Bailey is still ramping up.

It really is tough with that result, because Bowling Green has had several close calls before that breakthrough win. Earlier in the week they had a one point win over Elizabethtown and of course went to double OT with Henderson County the first week. The team is still gaining their footing so those results are graded on a curve, but I think as well that’s why North Laurel is represented the way they are, because they lost by a single point while missing a guy who averages over 15 PPG. 

Ranks definitely become tough when teams don’t align with expected results. For instance, Trinity is still highly rated despite the Fern Creek loss, and Evangel remains while Walton-Verona is gone despite their result - a two point loss by Evangel in OT. Bowling Green is still undefeated, and my guess is if they remain so and continue to play strong, they’ll pass North Laurel no matter what the Jags do.

I think head to head can be a factor but whole body of work is factor also. Basketball so many games so more likely upsets than say football. Fern Creek beat Trinity but no way I would rank Fern Creek over Trinity. Trinity probably beats then 9 out of 10 times. Bowling Green and North Laurel are good teams but North Laurel has better body of work in my opinion.

I agree with this.  But I also think the day after Fern Creek beats Trinity they should be ranked higher.  All season, no way, and their performance should reflect that going forward but not right on top of that win.  It's a no win situation to the rankings board with those 2 angles, especially when the underdog is multiple spots below the favorite.
