Bama doesn't offer just anybody either. The kid is the real deal. Very impressed with him tonight.

Yeah he is. I’m anxious to see how Bama does once Saban retires.

Great Night to be a Mayfield Cardinal!

Congrats cards!  Great program!

LCA had a heck of a playbook, the likes of haven’t seen in high school with the QB to execute it.  Credit to the Cardinal defense and coordinator for being able to have very few wide open receivers.  Giving up 28 to an offense like that is very respectable imo. Card O line preformed very well while the D-line got pressure when needed.  Great game by both teams. Cardinals will need another great effort next week if they are to bring home another State Championship!!!

As I've said for years, Mayfield does (one of, if not) the best job at making second half adjustments of any team in the state.

Was wondering at halftime how Mayfield was going to slow down the GT runs, and pressure the QB on pass plays.  They managed to do both, ran the ball well in the second half, chewed clock, and their defense bent but didn't break.  I came away most impressed with Mayfield QB.  That was one of the better games I've seen him play.  He might be able to handle the heat Friday.

I will hate to see it, I was alive when Bear retired. It really sucked until Gene Stallings got there. Then when he retired it sucked again until Saban.

Ray Perkins, Bill Curry and Mike Shula still give me nightmares.

As a Tenn Vol fan Derek Dooley, Butch Jones and Jeremy Pruitt gave me nightmares.
