Am I the only person that watched Fredrick and Reeves miss fantastic looks from 3?  Especially against Gonzaga.

And the idea that UK has better guards than the Zags is laughable.  Based on what?

Again, I have issues with Cal and the offense he runs.  Fredrick and Reeves crapping the bed against actual basketball teams is not something I blame him for.  They have thus far proven to be in over their heads.

If you've got access to The Athletic read Kyle Tucker's article in the game.  He says much the same thing that I did. I'm far from the only person to notice how the offense that UK is running is not getting their shooters enough clean looks. Both Texas and Tennessee spread Gonzaga out and exploited the defense of their guards.  UK refused to do that. They missed the few good looks that they did get.  It wasn't an accident that Texas was able to hit 13 threes and attempt 33 against Gonzaga. Tennessee went 13 out of 28 from deep. Their guards can be exploited on defense, but not without running plays to do so.

That wasn't hard to do given the offense that Cal runs, and refuses to change.  UK had better guards than Gonzaga.  The Zags guards were exposed both by Tennessee in their scrimmage, and Texas in their beat down.   The blueprint was right there: 

Space the floor out and screen, screen screen. The Vols and Longhorns both did that and got great look after great look.  Texas hit 13 threes after going 7-36 in their first two games. Their starting guards went 9-17 from deep against the Zags. Why?  Because Gonzaga's guards are not that good and Beard and Barnes adjusted their gameplan to exploit it.  Cal's stubbornness to only want to play one way is hurting UK.  If he doesn't adjust, this team will beat up on inferior competition and continue to struggle in the games that matter.

You’re right about Cal, that’s John Calipari but he thinks he’s GOD!!  THE MOST EGOTISTICAL Coach I’ve ever seen.  I used to think nobody could pass Pitino in that area but Cal has left him completely behind, can’t even see him in his rear view mirror!!!  Did Cal really say on his radio show last night that he had to figure out a way to get Oscar and Ware on the floor together????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  OMG!!!

After hearing some of Cal's press conference, this post made me laugh.
