Agreed Cal is overpaid, but don't make the same mistake twice.  No way Stoops should get that kind of green.

I thought that seemed small compared to a lot of coaches is that per remaining year of the contract or total buyout?

My understanding is total buyout, but I'm not 100% sure.

Stoops has done a good job at UK.  This extension is totally unnecessary, though.

The time isn't the kicker for me, it's the money. They really think what Stoops has done is worth $8.6 million per year? Or do they think he's going to do more in the future? He's barely above .500 during his tenure. Tells me the powers that be at UK are perfectly happy with the program and where it's going.
