It’s BG and O from the west and probably Scott and Freddie from east.  No one touching Freddie.

O defense came up big only gave up 1 TD and 2 FG’s.  Hines went out in 3rd with cramps playing offense and defense.

Good season for the Gators. I figured Owensboro would win. Owensboro in the playoffs and RASH are always tough.

Greenwood gave the devils all they wanted that’s forsure. We have to get off the field faster on Defense.

But an early tight game is a good test for a team, as long as you win. Ican't wait to see these 3rd round brackets.

Owensboro doesn’t stand a chance against Douglass this year. They’re good just not good enough to play with Douglass.

Howard was legit Superman(for GW). In the first half he ran all over the Devils, in the wild cat he was next to unstoppable at times. Long and Elmo where players too plus there Oline was pretty stout. They weren’t a slack team at all.

Niiiiiiice. The BG supporters really made them sound like a fluke, so I thought it would have been O by a lot. But that's a good challenge, and get ready for round 3. 

No injuries? Team healthy? Carbon has some family in Lexington, they have been posting a lot on Facebook about the potential rematch.

Not all the BG supporters.  Lofton is the real deal and this is one of the better Greenwood teams I've seen.

They have a mental hangup with BG getting beat 34 straight times, but they were legit this year and Lofton is a great player.  Tip of the hat to the Gators and also Coach Fallon and O to do whatever it took to win.  Reverses on 4th down; fake punt TDs and I'd like to know how many penalties both teams had on the night.  The ghosts of Rash Stadium have their own penalty flags.

don't know the exact number but it looked to be about even. Both teams had drives hurt by penalties.

One thing that continues to surprise me is the under utilization of freshman running back Hampton. He’s probably the fastest person in the back field. Touches the ball 1 time scores and doesn’t touch the ball the rest of the night. He needs to be utilized he’s too much of a threat on offense not to touch the ball at least once 5 times a game.

Long 22 for 140, Howard 10 for 70 and 1 TD for Gwood.  Howard also had pick 6 in first minute of game on an I’ll-advised reverse field screen thrown right at him (I hate that play…except when it works).

 

Goodwin had 46 yard run TD on a fake punt and Rogers a 24 yard TD.  Both of those seniors need to touch ball more.  Howard’s biggest run was 45 yardish.  Goodwin 9 tackles and 2 for loss.

 

I was really impressed by Gwood line play.  They battled every play and nothing was easy reminded me of St X vs O game where  O gets pick 6, leads the game early and is threatening till the end.  Congrats to them - best Greenwood team I’ve seen.  O was physical as well and to get a huge stop on Howard with 4th and inches , without Hines, was huge. O defense was great - gave up 13 on TD and 2 FF’s.
