I can't take credit for this one, but thought my BGP friends would like this trivia question.

There are six *same-city named potential matchups in FBS college football. Last Saturday was one of those as UMass played the University of Bufffalo (Amherst, Mass. vs. Amherst, NY). Can you name the other 5?

*The cities must be different. For example, the University of Houston and Rice University are both located in Houston, TX. If Rice University were located in Houston, Oklahoma, it would count.

Miami OH (Oxford OH) and Ole Miss (Oxford MS)

WKU and Bowling Green University 

Georgia and Ohio U (Athens)

 I am going to think through the rest of the MAC schools. There seems to be a trend here.

Missouri and South Carolina (Columbia)

Penn State and SMU (University Park)

I figured this one would be easy for this group. Not for me being from west Kentucky, because I assumed there was a Miami, Ohio. Makes sense that there is not once I researched it. However, what really blew my mind is that The U is not in Miami, FL. It is actually in Coral Cables. So there is no FBS football played in any community named Miami. Mind blown.

So we have Oxford (MS and OH), Athens (GA and OH), WKU (KY and OH), Columbia (MO and SC), and University Park (PA and TX). However, University Park, TX football stadium (i.e. SMU) has a Dallas mailing address so I guess it is subject to interpretation.

Some were arguing for Lafayette (Purdue and Louisiana). To me that is a stretch with Purdue being in West Lafayette.

I'd agree, everything I've ever seen about SMU University connects it to being based in Dallas.  I think University Park is a neighborhood within Dallas, it doesn't seem to have a zip code.  Also I always thought that Penn State was located in State College, PA.

Isn't Penn State in State College? I think Maryland is in University Park though.

Actually if you look it up, University Park is the location of the main Penn State campus.  Here is the picture on Google.
